Description
Comfortable and ergonomic, the Tripp Trapp Newborn Set is an accessory to the Tripp Trapp chair (sold separately) that cradles your newborn and lifts them up to table height. This promotes eye contact and interaction during meals, and helps keep baby close.
Designed with two positions (the angle can be adjusted with one hand) and ergonomic leg support, little ones like the cozy, nest-like environment.
Red-to-green indicators assure you the Seat is mounted correctly, while a 5-point safety harness with protective shoulder pads keep baby extra secure. A toy hanger also keeps their favorite toys close.
It’s safe and simple to use, and can easily be attached and removed to any Tripp Trapp chair made after May 2003 (chair sold separately).
Note, after baby outgrows the Newborn Set, you’ll need to buy a Baby Set or take a little break from the chair. Here’s the stage breakdown:
- Newborn Set (included): Use from birth
- Baby Set (not included): from 6-9 months (when baby can sit upright unaided) as a high chair
- Chair (not included): from child to adult

Perfect newborn seat for family time
We absolutely love the Tripp Trapp Newborn Set. It allows our baby to sit comfortably at table height so they can be part of family meals and daily interactions. The seat feels very supportive and safe for a newborn, and the angle keeps the baby comfortable.
The materials are soft and easy to clean, which is very helpful for busy parents. Installation was simple and it attaches securely to the Tripp Trapp chair.

Awesome function
Have 3 of these chairs, best part is the newborn attachment. Puts baby up, away from the ground, dog, other children and allows for me to watch baby and interact even when I’m cooking dinner!

Comfortable and safe
We used this newborn attachment with our firstborn a lot. So we bought it again for our second one. Definitely something you need! It is sturdy and comfortable at the same time. You can easily interact with the baby without bending over. Safe with the 5 point harness.

Wish we had for our first two children!
Wish we had this with our first two children! We used the chair for our toddler at our dining room table prior to our newborn being born, and he loved it. Super comfortable and adjustable for his legs to fit nicely under our dining room table, without them being squished. He had a booster on the chair prior and his legs couldn’t really fit under the table. Now we use the chair with the infant seat attached for our newborn in the kitchen where I spend so much time of my day in! She is super…

Great seat to keep baby close while eating
We’ve been using the Stokke Newborn Set and it has honestly been one of our favorite baby items.
Our baby likes staying in it. He seems comfortable and I like that he can be at table height with us during meals. It makes such a difference being able to keep him close instead while I'm eating.

Favorite hangout spot
This was the first place our newborn would relax besides being held. It's such a convenient set up and is so nice to have him "at the table"! This is an irreplaceable item to us at 10 weeks in, and I would recommend it to any family with the Stokke chair.

Mom of 3 Recommended
I don’t know what it is about this chair but my newborn loves it. He can chill in it much longer than other chairs or bouncers and look around and be totally content. It was a splurge for us, but worth it. Also has great re-sale value, if that’s something you’re interested in. As a mom of three, I recommend this item.

Good concept
Love the concept, but when baby was a newborn he didn’t last more than 10 minutes in it. As he got older he was able to sit longer but I have a big/tall baby so he quickly outgrew it which is such a loss. Didn’t get to enjoy it as much as I would’ve liked.

I did not know this would be something I loved so much as a first time parent, but having our baby at the table with us was so fun, and a great addition to the routine. Would recommend this to everyone!
