Overview

Description

The BassiNest Soothing Swivel Sleeper 3.0 from HALO has been reimagined as a 2-in-1 system that easily converts from bassinet to portable nest for around the house.

It includes BassiNest’s signature features: a swivel, a lowering wall and 100% breathable mesh walls. It also offers soothing features: two levels of vibration, four calming sounds and amber nightlights—all with auto-shutoff.

The updated base is now 30% lighter, but just as sturdy as the original. It comes with a polyester sheet and pad (cotton sheet and organic cotton sheet are sold separately), and the sleep space becomes extra breathable when paired with the HALO DreamWeave pad (also sold separately). It’s compatible with all BassiNest accessories.

Safety reminder: The detachable nest should only be used while baby is awake and parent is supervising. Baby should not sleep in nest when detached from base or be left unattended. Do not detach nest or move it around the house while baby is inside. When detached, nest should only be used on the floor. Do not use on raised or unlevel surfaces.

Always place your baby on their back for sleep. Never use soft bedding such as loose blankets, bumpers, pillows and positioners in the BassiNest. The American Academy of Pediatrics suggests the use of wearable blankets to keep your baby warm.

Warm Grey is a Babylist exclusive color, so you’ll only find it here.

What we  about it

Can you put a sheet on this mattress?
Dunya O

Best Answer:  You can put a sheet on this mattress. Because of the unique shape of the mattress, it'll be best to purchase sheets manufactured specifically for the BassiNest.

Is there a bassinet mattress with a little more cushion?
Hilary W

Best Answer:  Bassinet mattresses are intentionally designed to be firm in order to prioritize the safety of your little one, following the guidelines set by the American Academy of Pediatrics. So there are no mattress options available for the Halo that offer extra cushioning.

My baby loves this bassinet! That said, it has some potential dealbreakers.
Notable Pros:
-Vibration & womb sound features are great for getting baby settled back down to sleep during night wakes
-Able to swivel the bassinet from side to side for easy access and adjust the height

Possible dealbreakers:
-Legs are definitely a tripping hazard. We now have the bassinet in the corner of our room because I kept tripping over the legs while it was next to our bed.
-It didn’t

I wanted to love this bassinet. In theory, it is a great design. Swivel concept and height adjusting sound like a dream. Both of those features worked fine. The stand is not wobbly, but the mattress is wayyy too thin! My husband and I trip over the bulky legs/stand constantly. I do like that you can take the bed part off the stand and park it in the bed with you if needed. I would not recommend for a FTM.

Nice bassinet, but the mattress is terrible
The bassinet itself is pretty nice. Easy to put together. I'm still pregnant, so haven't used it with baby yet. However, I'm giving this only 3 stars because of the mattress it comes with. It's very thin and cheap. I can't imagine it's at all comfortable for a baby. Halo has another mattress you can purchase (which reviews say are better and worth getting) but it's honestly ridiculous that I have to buy a $80 replacement mattress when I just spent nearly $400 on this bassinet. Just put the better mattress in the bassinet.

Tilting
Stay away from this bassinet. After only 2 months it arted to tilt so the bed is now on an angle and when my son moves around he ends up sliding to the wall. The only saving grace is that the walls are mesh.
He's only 10. 5 pounds which is well under the weight limit.
I will be getting a new bassinet today.

Unsafe
Safety first, always. This misses the mark big time. Not only are the wide legs a tripping hazard for parents but it is also wobbly. My husband is a contractor and he assembled this product so I know it was done correctly. It is not safe.

Hate the legs
The bassinet is fine and gets the job done. However, I cannot stand the legs! They take up half the room and are a huge tripping hazard especially in the middle of the night. Also, the bassinet doesn’t lower as much as I would like and sits too high in the air. Taking the baby in and out is a little awkward.
