Overview
Description
Dr. Brown’s bottles are clinically proven to reduce colic by decreasing spit-up, burping and gas. The internal vent system moves air away from liquid so little ones aren’t gulping air bubbles which can cause tummy troubles. The internal vent also helps preserve oxygen-sensitive nutrients like Vitamins A, C and E.
You can use Options+ bottles with or without the vent system. If you choose to remove the vent, it turns into a traditional bottle for older babies.
What we about it
Helps to reduce colic and ease the transition from breast to bottle.

These bottles royally piss me off… they constantly leak, you have to screw the lid on TIGHT. If you use formula they get clogged easily. When it’s 2am and your baby is screaming bc they can’t get the milk out bc it’s clogged and you have to switch the bottle, or when your feeding them and minutes later you realize it’s been leaking the whole time and now you have to change them bc they got milk everywhere it’s so annoying. If my baby didn’t love them I wouldn’t be using them. I’ve tried other brands but he loves the long narrow nipple top.

Leaks like Crazy
LEAKS! You need a PhD to get the small bottles not to leak if you put any more than 2oz in. Buy the big bottles and save yourself the trouble.

love/hate relationship
i have a love/hate relationship with dr browns bottles. they work well for my baby but they leak SO bad!! it’s frustrating when i have to pause feeding my baby to somehow adjust the bottle because it’s leaking. which adjusting it doesn’t always prevent it from leaking more. apparently theres some hack for preventing them from leaking, but i haven’t been able to figure it out. it shouldn’t be that difficult anyways. the bottles should be made to where they don’t leak.

Worse bottles ever
When you first start using these bottles they work well but after a while of using them they start to leak out even if you follow instructions for them not to leak. I thought maybe it was just time for some new ones but even the new ones would leak all over me and my baby leaving my baby and my hand all sticky with milk. It felt like the milk was going to waste because of this issue. Then if you remove the filter the baby struggles to get the milk out. I’ve given these bottles so many chances and have this problem over and over so I just put them in the trash. Very disappointed in them.

Even doing every hack under the sun. Mixing before adding vent every bottle still leaks i cannot wait for when my child can transitions from these and yes we are working on it daily to get her to another anti colic brand. I think more milk is on her than in her tummy.

Dr. Brown’s bottles are the best bottles that you can use for a breast-fed baby in my opinion! The bottle brush is also the best brush.

Insane Leaking
I really wanted to love these bottles, but unfortunately they’ve been nothing but frustrating. At first they seemed fine, but after a few weeks of use they started leaking constantly. The problem has only gotten worse over time. It feels like every feeding turns into a mess with milk dripping down the sides, soaking bibs and burp cloths, and wasting so much milk.
I even watched all of the “how to fix the issue” videos and tried every suggestion, but nothing worked. For the price and…

I used Dr.Browns for my son, as well as my twins. I loved the bottles initially and they helped my babies have less gas and reflux. The NICU actually recommended we try these bottles to help with those issues and it worked initially! Unfortunately, they leak so so easily and I do believe this correlates with an inconsistent flow at times, leading to choking because the flow is too fast OR latching on and off due to very little output. It may be user error, but I’ve tried every trick in the book to fix the issue.

Bottles leak—every single stule
I cannot stress how much these bottles suck—every single style made by this company. They all leak! The plastic ones seem to actually seep from the sides of the bottle, but the glass and plastic ones leak from the lid/nipple. The worst part is that the company is aware of it and when I called to ask, I was sent some different lids and given tips to address the leaking, none of which have helped. This company either needs to fix their products or go into a different business.
